Privacy Policy for Sesh Radar

Sesh Radar is a skatepark presence app and desktop dashboard. This policy explains what data Sesh Radar uses, why it is used, how visibility works, and how you can delete your account.

1. Scope

What this policy covers

This policy applies to the Sesh Radar mobile application and the Sesh Radar web dashboard served from this deployment. It covers account data, park presence, location access, uploaded content, and notifications used to run the service.

2. Data We Collect

Data categories used by the app

Account data: username, display name, email address or Telegram-linked identity, avatar, and discipline.
Location data: precise location while using the app and, if you enable it, in the background for automatic park detection.
Presence data: park arrival, stay, and leave events, active park status, and session history.
User content: photos you upload to parks or sessions and captions you attach to sessions.
Notification data: push token and in-app notification history for arrivals, leaves, and follow requests.

3. Why We Use It

How Sesh Radar uses your data

To run your account: authentication, profile setup, and login across mobile and web.
To show skatepark activity: map views, active rider lists, park counts, and session history.
To enable automatic check-in: when background location is enabled, the app detects when you arrive at or leave a park.
To notify followers: arrivals, departures, and follow-request updates are sent to relevant users.
To protect privacy: private accounts are only shown to approved followers, while hidden users may still be counted in aggregates.

4. Visibility

Who can see your activity

Public accounts can be followed immediately. Private accounts require approval before new followers can view your park status, activity feed, profile details, or session history. Some aggregate counters may still include hidden riders without exposing their identity.

5. Sharing

External services and service providers

Sesh Radar may rely on infrastructure and delivery providers needed to run the product, such as hosting, push notification delivery, and map tile delivery. Those services may receive technical request data needed to provide their part of the product. Sesh Radar does not sell your personal data.

6. Retention

How long data is kept

Account, session, subscription, notification, and park presence data are kept while your account remains active. If you delete your account, associated profile data, sessions, subscriptions, notifications, and active park presence records are removed from the app's systems. Some operational logs or backups may persist for a limited period.

7. Background Location

Location permission details

Background location is optional but powers automatic skatepark arrival and leave detection. Without it, the app can still be used, but automatic park detection may not work reliably and you may need to use manual check-in instead.

8. Deletion & Requests

How to delete your account

You can permanently delete your account inside the app from the Privacy & Location screen or on the web from the public Delete Account page after signing in with the same account. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
